To carry out applied studies together with theoretical teaching on the drawing, color, composition and usage areas of plant, animal, geometric and nature-based motifs used in Turkish ornamental arts. It is aimed to make original pattern designs by gaining necessary and sufficient information.
To learn the development of plant, animal and nature-based motifs in historical periods, which developed by finding a field of use in nomadic-sedentary lifestyles in the pre-Islamic and post-Islamic periods. Determination of motif, color and pattern features used according to periods and methods of constructing modern designs within the framework of today's art understanding. To develop hand skills, perception, comprehension and reasoning skills by gaining the ability to design with these motifs in a determined area.
