Objectives of the Course

To be able to know the plant material in the context of landscape design and application to chose and know how to use plants in landscape design to enhance students knowledge about the plant materials in order to produce functional aesthetic and economic design and plan.

Course Content

Different properties of woody species (e.g., colour, texture). Ecological, aesthetics and functional characteristics of ornamental trees and shrubs.

1.To be able to apprehend landscape ecology.
2.To be able to enhance knowledge about the plants in terms of aesthetic, functional and economic at landscape design and planning
3.To be able to determine the selection of plant material in different ecological regions for different purposes
4.To be able to analyze the floral design criteria
5.To be able to recognize the landscape technician recognize the plant is the main material of the design
6.To be able to find out some needle-leaved plant and their species, varieties and forms
