Objectives of the Course

To teach the structural features, using and working principles of different tools, machinery and equipment in landscape.

Course Content

To teach soil tillage, planting, seedbed preparation, maintenance and harvesting machinery used in the landscaping areas; to introduce saplings pit opening, tree removal and transport machinery; to teach leveling, excavation, stone collection and land reclamation principles and to define machineries used in the rough, stoniness and drainage problems areas; to teach maintenance, calibration and use principles of landscaping equipments;

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to know the agricultural operations and machinery used for this purpose in the landscaping areas
2.To be able to know about adjustment, maintenance and usage of equipments are described in the lecture
3.To be able to take the measures against accidents and injuries that may occur during the use of agricultural machinery.
4. Horticultural and agricultural mechanization historical development, the benefits of agricultural mechanization in Turkey and to understand the level of information in the world.
5.To comprehend soil cultivation, seed bed and seedling bed preparation techniques in horticultural agriculture.
