Objectives of the Course

To explain the importance of the animal nutrition, the functions of feed in animal organism , the comparison of digestive systems of livestocks, the ways of evaluating the nutritients in feed, the feeding standards applied to various animal types.

Course Content

Identification and classification of feeds, the current state of agriculture in our country forage, forage-making techniques and their use in animal feeding (dry fodder, green fodder, silage), canned foods, organic feed and animal nutrition, preparation techniques used (energy, preserved, canned protein commercial feeds, feed additives), feed storage and protection functions of the digestive system and essential nutrients and metabolism, energy metabolism, ration formulation and feeding of dairy cattle, beef cattle nutrition, sheep and goat nutrition, diet-related disorders may occur.
