Objectives of the Course

To understand the importance of medicinal and aromatic plants in Turkey and world.To teach general growing principles.Especially to introduce of economical important plants in Turkey

The history of cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic plants, Systematics of cultivated plants, Climatic and soil requirements of medicinal and aromatic plants, The collection and drying of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Sterilization and packaging of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Growing of thyme, cumin, peppermint, levander and lemon balm, rose, anise, capers and saffron

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to acquire Medicinal and aromatic plants cultivated in our country.
2.To be able to have knowledge about which species are exported
3.To be able to acquire neccessery conditions for the growth of cultivated plants
4.Understanding the importance of medicinal and aromatic plants in the world
5.In order to get a high-yield product for the purpose, sowing and maintenance works and harvesting and drying of the product can be planned according to time
