Objectives of the Course

To give information about economic and medical uses of plants. Between people and plants interactions, cultural and scientifically defined plant Identification of biological diversity.

Course Content

Definition and history of ethnobotany. Methods to be followed in ethnobotanical studies. Survey forms Points to be considered in the preparation and implementation. Plant human relations throughout history. Plant usage types. Origin of agricultural and cultivated plants. Tea, coffee and legumes name and short description of important plants. Naturally found dye plants in our country and their biological properties. Root paint application techniques in Anatolia. Biological properties of poisonous plants. Country Specific Plants That Use.
