Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to provide the students to recognize the pests and diseases of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants ; to comprehend the symptoms and damage occurrence in/on the effected plants, comparison the common control methods for disease and pest management.

Course Content

Disease of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants ( Abiotic and Biotic Diseases) Fungal, Bacterial and Viral Disease of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and Their Control Methods, Pests of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and Their Control Methods. Problems in the fields of production and the introduction of weeds, which also describes the control.

1.To be able to identify the pest and disease of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and comprehend its potential in agricultural production
2.To be able to comprehend and identify the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants disease symptoms and control methods according to the host plants
3.To be able to comprehend the occurrence cases according to the plant phenology of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants
4.The plant parts damaged in/on plant, the damages and economical importance of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants
5.To be able to organize the report or suggestion on the decision related with solution of the problems in respect to the economically important Medicinal and Aromatic Plants pests before or during production
