The aim of this course is to examine the transportation policies implemented in the Republic of Türkiye from its foundation to the present day from historical, economic, social, and technological perspectives. The course evaluates investments, planning processes, and policy changes in highway, railway, maritime, aviation, and pipeline transportation. It also aims to enable students to analyze the effects of transportation policies on national development, regional growth, and sustainable transportation systems.
This course examines the development of the transportation sector in Türkiye from the proclamation of the Republic to the present day. It covers the historical evolution of transportation policies, the role of transportation in development plans, investments in different transportation modes, public policies, international transportation corridors, logistics centers, sustainable transportation practices, and future transportation strategies.
