Objectives of the Course

This course aims to enable students to understand the basic concepts, processes, and management techniques of the logistics sector; to comprehend the integration of logistics functions within the supply chain; and to acquire decision-making skills focused on operational efficiency, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.

Course Content

The course covers the definition and history of logistics, basic logistics activities (transportation, warehousing, inventory management, order processing), supply chain management, transportation modes (road, sea, air, rail), logistics costs, information systems, sustainable logistics, international logistics and customs procedures, risk management, and digitalization in logistics (IoT, ERP, blockchain, etc.).

7.Discusses sustainable and ethical logistics practices and conducts case analyses.
