The objective of this course is to introduce students to fundamental economic policy tools, such as macroeconomic equilibria, public finance, monetary and fiscal policies, and their institutional operations. Additionally, by examining the roles of international organizations and domestic public institutions on economic decisions, it aims to enable students to evaluate applications, crises, and global developments in the Turkish economy from an analytical perspective.

This course covers the main objectives of economic policy, the roles of domestic and international institutions in the decision-making process, and macroeconomic equilibrium approaches. Throughout the course, national income, economic growth, public finance, monetary and fiscal policies, and the balance of payments are structurally analyzed; theoretical approaches are practically addressed within the framework of crises and current policy implementations in the Turkish economy.
