Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the fundamental concepts of investment and project analysis, develop their knowledge of investment project preparation, planning, and evaluation processes, and enable them to analyze investment alternatives through site selection, capacity planning, capital budgeting, cost of capital, static and discounted investment appraisal methods, risk analysis, and project implementation.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of investment and project analysis, investment project preparation, selection of investment opportunities, facility location and capacity planning, capital budgeting, cost of capital, investment project evaluation using both static and discounted cash flow methods, replacement decisions, determination of the economic life of assets, risk analysis in investment projects, and project implementation.
