Course Content

Identify and explain the principles of cooperatives. Learn why cooperatives exist and how cooperatives are managed. Understand the management and the legal framework of cooperatives. Be able to explain how the cooperative business model differs from other business models.

1.Explain the fundamental concepts, scope, importance, and historical development of cooperativism.
2.Explain the principles of cooperativism and distinguish cooperatives from other types of business organizations.
3.Evaluate the cooperative legislation in Türkiye, the relationship between the state and cooperatives, and the organizational structure of cooperatives.
4.Explain the governing bodies, their responsibilities, and the higher-level organizational structure of cooperatives.
5.Analyze the major challenges facing cooperativism in Türkiye and propose appropriate solutions.
