Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn national and international transportation legislation in the fields of road, sea, air, rail, and combined transport, and to gain the competence to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, conventions, and standards.

Course Content

This course covers the main laws and regulations governing the transportation sector in Türkiye and worldwide, international conventions (CMR, CIM, COTIF, Montreal, etc.), transport documents, liabilities, insurance, dangerous goods transportation, and current legislative updates.

Learning Outcomes
1.Identify the main sources of national and international transportation legislation.
2.Explain contracts and regulations applied in road, sea, air, and rail transportation.
3.Use and prepare transport documents (CMR, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, etc.).
4.Interpret the liabilities of carrier, shipper, and consignee within the legal framework.
5.Apply regulations on dangerous goods and special cargo transportation.
6.Follow current legislative changes and adapt them to logistics operations.
