Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to distinguish textile fibers, differentiate the characteristics of pre-treatment, dyeing, and finishing processes applied to textile products, and select the appropriate process to achieve the desired performance from a textile product.

Course Content

Textile fibers and general fiber properties, fiber differentiation, general finishing terminology, pre-treatment processes, dyes and their properties, dyeing processes and selection of suitable dyes for fibers, finishing processes, fastness tests.
