Objectives of the Course

To teach how to obtain usable energy from renewable energy sources, which are alternatives to exhaustible energy sources, and the qualities and application areas of these sources.

Course Content

Energy, Energy Resources, Needs and Policies, Alternative Resources, Solar Energy, Obtaining Hot Water from the Sun, Obtaining Electric Energy from the Sun, Solar Cells, Energy Densities and Limitations, Wind Energy, Wind Turbines, Structure, Design and Capacity, Geothermal Energy, Biomass Energy, Biomass, Biodiesel and Biogas, Hydrogen, Hydraulic potential, Wave Energy.
