Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is for students to become familiar with the science of economics, to internalize economic thought, to compare methods of calculating national income, and to interpret issues such as inflation, unemployment, growth, exports, imports, and foreign exchange.

Needs, demand, supply, consumers, producers, markets, national income, fiscal policy, monetary policy, foreign trade.

1.They are familiar with the science of economics and understand economic problems.
2.Students learn the fundamental purpose of consumer and producer behavior and distinguish between different types of markets.
3.Students learn the concept of national income and its calculation methods; they understand fundamental macroeconomic issues such as inflation, unemployment, and cyclical fluctuations.
4.It analyzes the effects of fiscal and monetary policies; and interprets the impact of foreign trade on macroeconomic balance.
5.It distinguishes between the differences between economic growth and development
