Objectives of the Course

Course Objectives The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the basic concepts of financial management, the financial decision-making processes of businesses and the functioning of financial markets. It also aims to provide students with the ability to analyze the legal structures, growth strategies, mergers and financial failure processes of businesses.

Learning Outcomes
1.Can explain the basic concepts, purposes and functions of financial management in businesses and analyze the role of the financial manager.
2.Can compare and evaluate the legal structures of businesses (individual, capital companies and cooperatives) in terms of financial decisions.
3.Can explain the basic components of the financial system by defining the structure and functioning of financial markets and financial institutions in Turkey.
4.Recognize money and capital market instruments, compare their basic features and interpret their intended use for businesses.
5.It can evaluate the financial life cycle holistically by analyzing growth strategies, mergers and financial failure processes in businesses.
