The aim of this course is to enable students studying in the health field to correctly understand, interpret, and use medical terminology. The goal is for students to learn fundamental Latin and Greek-derived terms used in healthcare and to gain the ability to use correct terminology in clinical practice.
This course covers the basic concepts of medical terminology, the structure of medical terms (root, prefix and suffix), fundamental medical terms related to body systems, and common concepts used in the health field. The course aims to enable students in operating room services, home patient care, and medical imaging techniques programs to acquire the skills to correctly read, write, and interpret medical terms they will encounter in their professional training.
