The aim of this course is to raise students' awareness of accidents that may occur in the home environment, to develop their ability to identify risk factors, and to teach preventive approaches to preventing home accidents. It also aims to develop students' awareness of protecting public health and to enable them to educate individuals on how to prevent home accidents.
The definition and importance of home accidents, their impact on public health, the epidemiology of home accidents, risk groups (children, the elderly, disabled individuals), types of home accidents (falls, burns, poisonings, electric shocks, injuries from sharp objects, etc.), safe arrangements in the home environment, preventive approaches to preventing home accidents, situations requiring first aid, the role of healthcare professionals and medical technicians in preventing home accidents, and community education and awareness campaigns.
