With the decision taken at the meeting of the General Assembly of Higher Education dated 25.05.2011, formal education started in the 2011-2012 academic year. Able to provide the necessary first and emergency medical aid to patients and/or injured people in pre-hospital emergency health services; It is an associate degree program that trains first and emergency aid technicians who have the ability to transport the patient or injured person to a healthcare institution safely and quickly by ambulance. The total duration of study in the program is 4 semesters.
History
With the decision taken at the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 16.03.1993, Söke Vocational School of Health Services was opened in the 1994-1995 academic year. With the decision taken at the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 13.04.2011, the First and Emergency Aid Program was opened under the Department of Medical Services and Techniques in the 2011-2012 academic year. With the decision taken at the meeting of the General Assembly of Higher Education dated 25.05.2011, formal education started with a quota of 30 students in the 2011-2012 academic year.
Mission
To train intermediate staff to work in the field of health who have acquired the necessary skills in the use of information and technology, who have the responsibility and professional ethics to contribute to the most efficient use of resources by considering the interests of the country, who can produce correct solutions to the problems they encounter, who carry and promote the values ??of the Turkish society in the light of Ataturk's principles and reforms.
Vision
Considering that the field of study is human health, it is to be a college that can foresee all problems in health technicians, research and produce knowledge, is shown as an example at national and international levels and is honored to be a member.
Purpose
1. Our graduates work as healthcare professionals who can provide safe and effective interventions in basic and advanced life support and emergency medical practices in accordance with national and international standards, and who actively participate in the emergency medical system within the framework of occupational health and safety and legal regulations.
2. Our graduates effectively use the equipment and information technologies used in emergency medical services; they follow scientific and technological developments; and they contribute to practices that increase quality and efficiency in the healthcare sector with their analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
3. Our graduates are adept at teamwork, can communicate effectively, and can make correct decisions in crisis situations; they are sensitive to social, scientific, and ethical values; and they serve with a sense of professional responsibility that prioritizes patient, employee, and environmental safety.
4. Our graduates become professionals with a developed awareness of lifelong learning, career management, who keep their professional knowledge up-to-date by using foreign languages, and who contribute to the development of the healthcare field.
Physical Infrastructure
Our unit is located in Söke District and provides education and training services in Söke Business Faculty A Block.
Technical Infrastructure
The program includes 7 classrooms, 1 conference hall, 1 meeting room, 2 vocational skills laboratory, 1 practice ambulance, 1 library, and 1 cafeteria.
