Explain blood and blood disorders

Course Content

To study diseases related to bone marrow, lymphatic system and blood, including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemia and similar disorders

Learning Outcomes
1.Analyzes the structural and functional properties of blood by relating them to clinical conditions and surgical processes.
2.Evaluates the characteristics and disorders of erythrocytes, leukocytes, and thrombocytes using clinical findings and laboratory data.
3.Analyzes hemostasis and coagulation mechanisms and interprets potential disorders in the context of clinical processes.
4.Evaluates the processes of using blood and blood products in accordance with patient safety and ethical principles.
5.Performs cross-matching and transfusion procedures, utilizes health information technologies for monitoring, and ensures effective management within an interdisciplinary team.
