Objectives of the Course

This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills required to assess, diagnose, and manage emergency conditions related to cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, endocrine, and gastrointestinal systems. Through case-based studies, students will develop clinical reasoning, decision-making, and protocol-based intervention skills in emergency care settings.

Course Content

This course focuses on the emergency management of critical conditions across multiple body systems. Topics include cardiac arrest management, emergency approaches to arrhythmias, adult and pediatric emergency care protocols, emergency medications, and system-specific emergencies. The course integrates theoretical knowledge with case-based learning to enhance clinical competence and real-life problem-solving skills in emergency situations.

Learning Outcomes
1.Explains the fundamental concepts, terminology, and emergency care protocols related to cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, endocrine, and gastrointestinal emergencies.
2.Applies emergency care protocols in the management of cardiac arrest and arrhythmias in both adult and pediatric patients.
3.Analyzes clinical cases to identify underlying causes and determine appropriate intervention priorities
4.Evaluates the effectiveness and outcomes of emergency interventions.
5.Develops case-based solutions and management plans for complex emergency situations using evidence-based approaches.
