Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to provide students in the operating room services program with an understanding of pre- and post-operative processes in surgical patients, early and late-stage complications, nutritional principles for surgical patients, and surgical procedures targeting various systems (laparoscopic surgery, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, nervous system, and musculoskeletal system surgeries); and to provide them with foundational knowledge and awareness regarding the care processes associated with these procedures, thereby ensuring they can deliver effective and safe services in operating room settings.

Course Content

This course covers early and late postoperative complications, nutrition in surgical patients, laparoscopic surgical procedures, and surgical interventions targeting the cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, and musculoskeletal systems, as well as the associated care processes.
