The aim of the Operating Room Services program is to enable students to understand ethical and moral concepts and develop behaviors in accordance with ethical principles in their professional lives; to support them in analyzing ethical dilemmas they may encounter in the operating room environment, making correct decisions, and gaining a sense of responsibility in line with the principles of patient safety, privacy, justice, and professionalism.
This course examines ethical systems by defining and defining the concepts of ethics and morality. Individual, societal, and cultural factors influencing the formation of morality are evaluated. The concept of professional ethics is discussed within the context of operating room services, and ethical principles and rules are debated through case studies. The effects of professional corruption and unethical behavior on individuals, institutions, and society are examined. Furthermore, the concept of social responsibility and the role of healthcare professionals in this regard are emphasized.
