Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge regarding the causative agents, modes of transmission, clinical characteristics, diagnostic methods, and preventive approaches for infectious diseases; and to train individuals who can assess infection risks, implement preventive measures to curb transmission, and apply infection control principles in their professional practice.

Course Content

This course examines the epidemiology of infectious diseases, their causative agents, modes of transmission, host defense mechanisms, infection control methods, and prevention strategies, as well as the fundamental characteristics of infectious diseases commonly encountered in the community and in healthcare settings.
