Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the formulation principles, active ingredients, and physiological mechanisms of action of cosmetic products within a scientific framework. It aims to enable students to analyze skin, hair, scalp, and body care cosmetics, as well as decorative products, according to modern classification methods; to acquire cosmetic ingredient literacy; and to attain the competence to make product selections based on analytical foundations in their professional practices.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of cosmetic science and the structural classification of modern cosmetic products. The curriculum examines the formulation structures, active ingredients, and physiological interactions with tissues of skin, hair, scalp, and body care cosmetics. Additionally, the chemical properties, intended uses, and professional industry standards of oral care cosmetics, decorative makeup products, perfumes, and other specific product groups are covered in detail.
