The objective of this course is to provide students in the field of hair care and beauty services with theoretical and practical fundamental knowledge regarding hygiene, sanitation, disinfection, sterilization, and antisepsis processes. Within the scope of this course, it aims to enable students to understand the transmission pathways of microorganisms and pathogens in a salon environment to prevent contamination and cross-contamination risks, accurately decontaminate all professional tools and equipment, and implement infection control plans. Additionally, it aims to cultivate a professional sense of vocational responsibility and ethical awareness focused on protecting both practitioner and client health at the highest level.

| 1. | Defines the concepts of hygiene, sanitation, contamination, and pathogens; explains their professional, ethical, and legal importance in beauty and hair care services. |
| 2. | Classifies pathogenic microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites) commonly encountered in salons and analyzes the physical and environmental factors affecting their proliferation. |
| 3. | Detects cross-contamination risks arising from tools, equipment, shared spaces, and practices in the salon environment; fully implements personal and workplace protective hygiene protocols. |
| 4. | Differentiates decontamination levels (cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, antisepsis); selects and applies the most accurate chemical and physical methods for various salon surfaces and client equipment. |
| 5. | Manages the pre-cleaning, packaging, indicator monitoring, and sterile storage processes of professional tools in accordance with the working principles of autoclaves and dry heat sterilizer equipment. |
| 6. | Develops an "Infection Control and Action Plan" in accordance with national legal regulations against potential infectious diseases and outbreak situations that may threaten public health in salon businesses. |
