Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to teach students the fundamental concepts of human anatomy and physiology, establishing a direct relationship between this scientific foundation and professional applications in the field of hair care and beauty services. It aims to enable students to understand the structure and functioning of the primary body systems through a holistic approach, to evaluate the potential physiological risks (threats) that cosmetic procedures may pose to the human body from a scientific perspective, and to acquire the competence to take proactive measures against these risks in accordance with professional standards.

Course Content

This course covers a detailed examination of the basic anatomical structure and physiological functioning of the human body. Within the framework of the curriculum, the anatomical locations and physiological functions of the nervous, support and movement, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, and excretory systems, as well as auxiliary systems (urogenital, endocrine, immune/autoimmune), are discussed. Furthermore, by emphasizing the importance of anatomical and physiological knowledge in the professional field, the course addresses the biological threats that various cosmetic applications and products may pose to body systems, along with the preventive health and safety measures required to minimize these threats.
