Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to provide students with the theoretical foundations, cosmetic products, tools and equipment, occupational health and hygiene standards, and relevant legislation required for character makeup, special effects (SFX) makeup, aging makeup, camouflage makeup, and permanent makeup/tattooing techniques, beyond the scope of standard makeup application.

5.Conceal dermatological imperfections using camouflage makeup techniques.

Cosmetic products used in special-purpose makeup: pigment-based products, oil-based paints, concealers, setting agents
Week 2 - Theoretical & Practice
Tools and equipment used in special-purpose makeup: brushes, sponges, airbrush systems, prosthetic materials
Week 3 - Theoretical & Practice
Character makeup I: facial analysis, character design, historical/cultural references
Week 4 - Theoretical & Practice
Character makeup II: application technique, shaping character through light and shadow, practical work

Special effects makeup I: simulating wounds, cuts, abrasions, burns — material selection

Special effects makeup II: silicone/latex prosthetic application, basics of mold-making

Aging makeup I: skin structure analysis, wrinkle and texture-effect techniques
