Objectives of the Course

This study examines three different sources of obligation within the general topics of the Turkish Code of Obligations. These are obligations arising from contract, tort, and unjust enrichment.

Course Content

Concepts of debt and debt relationship; sources of debt; liability law; certain specific debt relationships, consequences of debts, general performance of debt, subject of debt, place of performance of debt, when debt should be performed, creditor's resistance, general conditions, consequences, consequences of non-performance of debts, pre-contractual faulty conduct, debtor's resistance, coexistence and comparison of liability arising from unlawful acts and liability arising from breach of contract.
