The aim of this course is to provide students with basic concepts of home patient care, the roles and responsibilities of home care technicians, and fundamental care practices. The course also aims to enable students to assess the needs of care recipients with a holistic approach, ensure a safe care environment, and explain basic patient care practices.
The course covers basic concepts of home patient care, roles and responsibilities of home care technicians, basic needs of care recipients, holistic care approach, health assessment, environmental safety, self-care practices, positioning, bed-making, vital signs, infection control, nutrition, elderly care, pain management, wound care, medication administration, and blood product transfusion.
