Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to evaluate digital health, telehealth, mobile health, remote patient monitoring, electronic health records, and artificial intelligence-supported applications in home care services within the framework of patient needs, ethical principles, patient privacy, and the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).

Course Content

The course covers the basic concepts of digital health, telehealth, telerehabilitation, remote patient monitoring, mobile health applications, electronic record-keeping and reporting, digital education for patients and caregivers, ethics and the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), digital communication, assistive technologies for older adults and people with disabilities, as well as AI-powered decision support, risk prediction, and early warning applications in home care.

Learning Outcomes
1.It explains key concepts such as digital health, telehealth, mobile health, remote patient monitoring, electronic health records, and AI-powered health applications in the context of home care services.
2.Identifies digital health tools used in home care, remote patient monitoring systems, mobile health apps, and artificial intelligence-powered decision support systems based on patient needs.
3.It evaluates basic health data—such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, SpO2, blood sugar, weight, and similar metrics—during the digital monitoring process and generates appropriate records and reports .
4.Communicates professionally with patients and caregivers in a digital environment; acts in accordance with ethical principles, patient rights, privacy, the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), and ethical boundaries regarding the use of artificial intelligence.
5.Takes responsibility within a team setting for chronic disease management, telerehabilitation, emergency awareness, digital triage, and AI-supported early warning processes, and explains the appropriate referral steps.
