Basic first aid procedures include initial and secondary assessment, basic life support in adults, children, and infants, first aid for airway obstruction, external and internal bleeding, wounds and types of wounds, localized injuries, first aid for head and spinal fractures, first aid for upper extremity, hip, and lower extremity fractures, dislocations, and sprains, first aid for illnesses requiring emergency care, poisoning, heatstroke, burns and frostbite, foreign body obstructions, emergency transport techniques, rapid transport techniques over short distances, and transporting patients or injured individuals using a stretcher.
