Objectives of the Course

Survey of plastics as materials. Survey of factors affecting material properties. Survey of industrial plastics.

It includes detailed information about plastics and industrial plastics, their effects on the environment, and their recent developments.

Learning Outcomes
1.Classification of plastics.
2.To determine the effect of structural properties on material properties.
3.Mechanical properties of plastics (elastic and plastic properties) tensile behavior, impact resistance and the changes caused by these behaviors.
4.To determine the optimum material properties in accordance with the area of use and select the appropriate plastic material.
5.To have information about the environmental effects and life cycle of selected plastic materials and raise awareness of the relevant people.
