Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to provide decision makers, producers and disposers with a modern perspective on an integrated waste management approach within the framework of new waste management theories and practices shaped by rapidly developing technological opportunities by questioning the social perception of waste.
Today, wastes are perceived as an economic value as well as being an important issue in terms of disposal. In addition to the environmental risks it creates, it has become an important input to sustainable resource management with appropriate technology and strategies. With the methods of recycling, recovery and reuse, wastes have now come to serve a more rational resource use preference that strengthens economic infrastructures in accordance with sustainable development goals, beyond an understanding of disposal that is stored in the wild in a way that threatens ecological systems and is left to nature indiscriminately.
