The aim of the course is to raise awareness about the properties, types and behaviors of polymeric materials, and to provide them with knowledge about the tests and analyzes required to determine the chemical, physical, mechanical and viscoelastic properties of polymers.
ReChemical structure determinations in polymers, FTIR and NMR structure determinations; The concept of molecular size and distribution of polymers: Gel Permeation Chromatography; Thermal properties, glass transition temperatures, crystallization and melting behavior of polymers, DSC and TGA analysis; Module concept in polymers, dynamic mechanical tests, DMA analysis; Rheological properties of polymers, shear viscosity, shear stress and modulus measurements.
