Objectives of the Course

To teach the basic concepts of physical chemistry, to understand the differences between ideal and real gas, to examine the laws of physical chemistry, to teach the subjects of states of matter and matter-energy relationship, conservation of energy, energy changes and entropy in chemical reactions, Teaching how to calculate and interpret some thermodynamic functions in R&D and quality control stages.

Course Content

Basic concepts of physical chemistry, ideal and real gases, kinetic theory of gases, reaction rate expressions, kinetic theory of gases, basic principles of liquid, viscosity and surface tension, solids and their properties, heat and temperature, thermochemistry, enthalpy concept, enthalpy types and its change with temperature, first, second and third laws of thermodynamics
