Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to introduce students taxicab geometry, teach the concepts related to non-Euclidean geometries and improve their ability for some applications in taxicab geometry.

Course Content

Taxicab distance, classification of lines in taxicab plane, distance of a point to a line, shortest distance set, taxicab conics, synthetical drawing of taxicab conics, some examples about non-Euclidean geometries.
