Objectives of the Course

To introduce texts of the Old Anatolian Turkish to the students. To teach phonetic, morphological and lexical features of the Old Anatolian Turkish. To enable correct reading and comprehending of texts of the Old Anatolian Turkish and translating them into modern Turkish. To teach phonetic and morphological development of Turkey Turkish. To enable distinguishing historical periods of Turkey Turkish.

Course Content

The development of the forms in Old Anatolian Turkish in terms of phonetics, morphology, syntax, etymology and semantics; the grammar studies on selected texts.
