Objectives of the Course

Explaining the reasons, time and geography of the migration movements that took place in Antiquity.

Course Content

History of the world, comprises countless of migration movements from the earliest days to present. Migrations that took place in connection to various reasons such as starvation, famine, floods, eartquakes, drought, shortage of arable lands, shortage of pasturage, civil strives, extarnal threats, racial and religious strains, caused several devastations while on the other hand paved to rise of new civilizations. Therefore migrations that took place in Antiquity will be evaluated as a whole and with a comprehensive course content.

3.Being able to evaluate migrations within the frameworks of time and olace.
4.Being able to evaluate migration examples that took place in Antiquity.
5.Being able to compare and contrast the migrations of Ancient Eastern and Western Civilizations.
6.Being able to analyse the roles of the migrations in the process of formations of the civilizations that flourished within the time and place in question.
