At the end of this course, the student will be able to; identify how to get the Ottoman sources

Historical sources of Ottoman history . The foundations of Ottoman Historiography . The first Ottoman historians . II. Murad , Sultan Mehmed II. Bayezid period of Ottoman Historiography . Book of Kings description . Sultan Selim I and Suleiman the Magnificent, the Ottoman era historiography . Selimiye , and Süleymanname description . Informal historiography . Official Historiography . Chroniclers . foreign sources of Ottoman history .

1.Being able to recognize Ottoman Histories and Historians from XVth century and later period, and to analysis some of their works.
2.Being able to get informaion about the travelers
3.Being able to get informaion about reformation pamphlets.
4.Being able to get informaion about the works of writers who produced considerable pieces as historical sources about Ottoman period.
5.To be able to analyze the sources of Ottoman History
