Objectives of the Course

To teach the scientific studies of the Ottoman period, scientists and the idea of Ottoman science.

Course Content

The interest in science in the Ottoman state, the establishment of the Ottoman Ulema class, Ottoman educational institutions, Enderun, the establishment of the madrasa is discussed on issues such as. Scientists, madrasahs, Ottoman science mentality, knowledge of change in Ottoman science mentality since the foundation of the Ottoman Empire.

2.Students will be able to explain the Ottoman education methods, syllabuses and the understanding of science.

5.Students will be able to discuss the effects of Ottoman science in today's scientific world.
