Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to understand the origins of human rights and to examine basic human rights documents both in the modern world and in the past.

Course Content

The historical background of Human Rights will be explained. Magna Carta, Bill of Rights, French Citizen's Rights, Slave Trade, Minorities and Discrimination will be discussed. In addition, UN and EU documents on human rights will be examined.
