Objectives of the Course

To develop an understanding of mythological thought and enable students to interpret mythological, symbolic, and archetypal elements in literary works.

Course Content

Analysis of novels, short stories, plays, films, and other narrative forms through the concepts of mythological thought, symbols, archetypes, and the collective unconscious; student presentations and practical interpretation exercises.
