Objectives of the Course

In this course it is intended to read, understand and interpret the main texts of 17th century philosophy. Besides, learning and thinkinig about the main concepts, principles, doctrines and theories included in these texts and developing argumentative skills on them is also aimed.

1.Being able to read, understand and interpret philosophical texts of 17th century
2.Comparing and contrasting classical 17th. century philosophical texts in their historical context
3.Being informed and being able to reason about the problems that are at the basis of modern philosophy and actual and possible answers to them.
4.Being able to learn, analyze, synthesize, interpret and criticise concepts, principles, doctrines and theories which are included in the basic philosophical texts of 17th. century.
5.Being able to apply concepts and theories of 17th century basic philosophical texts on the process of understanding and finding solutions to current practical problems.
