Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to discuss what the concept of human rights is—and is not—based on foundational texts, to establish the connection between this concept and the concepts of “human,”“right,” and “ethics,” to raise awareness among students about what human rights and fundamental rights entail, andto identify ways to protect fundamental rights.

Course Content

To explain the nature of the concept of human rights, what constitutes fundamental and non-fundamental rights, and to illustrate, with examples, human rights violations and the possibility of protecting these rights.
