Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to integrate and apply the fundamental knowledge and skills they have acquired in physics within the framework of a research or application-based project. The course is designed to develop competencies in identifying scientific problems, planning and conducting research, reviewing and evaluating scientific literature, selecting appropriate methodologies, analyzing and interpreting results, and preparing scientific reports. Upon completion of the course, students are expected to be capable of carrying out independent research, adhering to the principles of scientific ethics, and effectively communicating their findings through both written and oral presentations.

Course Content

Conducting a comprehensive literature review under the supervision of a faculty advisor on a selected topic in physics; planning and carrying out research activities; collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data; interpreting the obtained results; and preparing a final project report in accordance with scientific writing standards. The course also covers scientific research methodologies, ethical principles in research, academic integrity, effective use of scientific literature, and the presentation and reporting of research findings through written and oral communication.
