Objectives of the Course

Examining the development of Miniature Art in Anatolia up to the transition process of the modern painting, determining production techniques, materials and compositions of the works produced.

Course Content

The arrival of miniature art in Anatolia, the material used, technical and decorative features, miniature examples produced in the Seljuk, Principalities and Ottoman Periods, their artists and centers and their characteristics.

5.To be able to define the miniature samples produced in the Principalities Period in Anatolia, their centers and masters.
6.To be able to explain the miniature samples produced in the Ottoman Period in Anatolia, their centers and masters.
7.To be able to provide information about the miniature types of the Ottoman Miniature Art.
8.To be able to explain the characteristic features of the Ottoman Miniature Art of the 16th century.
9.To be able to compare the Classic Period Ottoman miniature with the miniatures of different cultural environments of the Islamic world.
