Objectives of the Course

To teach techniques for understanding Arabic texts and translating them into Turkish.

Course Content

In this course, understanding of Arabic basic-intermediate level reading texts is provided. Texts are read at different levels and applications are made regarding the text. Students' reading comprehension and text analysis skills are improved through texts of increasing difficulty.

Learning Outcomes
1.Within the framework of basic nahw (Arabic syntax) topics, students translate sentences and texts.
2.Students translate classical and modern texts from Arabic to Turkish. They analyze texts of different genres for translation purposes and learn translation techniques.
3.Students acquire the skill to transfer sentence structures and meanings accurately between both languages without deviation.
4.Students gain knowledge about how to use the most accurate equivalent when translating words that do not have a direct counterpart in both languages.
5.Students expand their Arabic vocabulary list.
6.Students develop the ability to determine which words in each language correspond to each other.
