Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is for the student to have an idea about the issues that pose problems in terms of faith today and to understand their solutions.

Course Content

Problems arising in the modern period regarding divinity, prophethood and the afterlife will be examined. Religion, science, reincarnation, satanism, jinn, devil, atheism, religious pluralism, reactionism, fundamentalism, violence, terrorism and religion; the topics of tradition, globalization, modernity, renewal, reform and transhumanism will be discussed.

3.Understands the characteristics of Kalam in the classical and modern periods.
4.Knows the internal and external dynamics of contemporary faith issues.
5.Recognizes the emergence of relevant intellectual movements and theories and the shapes they took in the historical process.
